At 12:20 pm the chopper crashed in Coonor Tamil Nadu. The crash took place 10 km from the helipad site.  IAF Mi-17V5 chopper crashed According to the reports, the IAF Mi-17V5 chopper took off from Sulur Airforce Station with 14 passengers on board, Bipin Rawat his spouse Madhulika Rawat and other senior officers to Wellington.
